TITLE: NIGERIA IMMIGRATION SERVICE TO INTRODUCE
           HARMONISED PILGRIMS PASSPORT

Source:SERVICE PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER

Sequel to the approval of the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the Nigeria Immigration Service is set to commence the issuance of the new harmonized Pilgrims Passport for use by Christians and Moslems for all pilgrimages abroad.

2. With this development, only holders of the harmonized Pilgrims Passports will be allowed to travel out for religious rites abroad, including Umrah.

5. The Comptroller General of Immigration Mr. Chukwurah Udeh, avails himself of this platform to appeal to Nigerians to support the on-going reforms by the Nigeria Immigration Service aimed at ensuring best practices in modern migration management by following due process when applying for Immigration facilities.
